MediaWiki on Ubuntu LAMP: Easy?

I set up a Wiki system for keeping track of little tricks and tips in the shop. I put it on the same server that runs some scripts for ShatteredWindows.com. Makes it easier to find fixes to common problems than using Google, and we can note fixes to the really wacky stuff.

I have found that it is really simple to set up. Unpack an archive, upload some files, change a few permissions, hit a URL, and voila: installed.

Of course, the Wiki software itself is insanely easy to use, but difficult to master.

MacOS X 10.3 on a Bondi Blue G3/iMac

Installing MacOS X 10.3 on a Bondi Blue G3/iMac on a blank IDE drive is weird. You have to boot to the CD, use the menu to switch to Disk Utility, partition the drive without MacOS 9 drivers, restart the Mac, boot to the CD AGAIN and then install the OS.

If you don’t do the restart after partitioning the drive, it states “You cannot install Mac OS X on this volume. You cannot start your computer from this volume.”

WEIRD.
