I am testing a new version of my blog theme. It looks even better than the previous version, and is actually more cross browser compatible than the previous one. Lets take this for a swing for a week and see how it works, ‘kay? Glitches found and fixed (or maybe just found) to be listed here…
Sometimes, the best way to test something is to just get in and drive.
- Browsers Working:
- IE 6/Win [with issues, but it's viewable and usable], IE 7/Win, FF 2-3/Win, FF 3/Linux, FF 3/Mac [has a weird issue with post titles, need to get a Modern Mac to fix this], Opera 9.6/Win, Safari 3/Win, Safari 1-2/Mac, Chrome 0.2.149.30/Win
- [fixed] - Sidebar XHMTL validation failure under certain circumstances
- [fixed] - lightweight theme widgets bottom has incorrect setting in stylesheet for sidebar-bottom.
- [fixed] - Tag Cloud overflows the Options Menu. Put it in a scrolling div?
- [broken] - Certain items (galleries, blockquotes) are getting margin-ed off the page. ODD. {it was a clear:both problem} (still broken on picture gallery pages in FF2/Win)
- [fixed] - Theme is not named correctly in the Disclaimer
- [fixed] - Certain widgets seem to be broken? {it was a case of using classes instead of ids for styling}
- [fixed] - My search template’s search field is too wide for the sidebar.
- [fixed] - search button hover on start menu not working
- [fixed] - Theme was not Valid XHTML Transitional
- [fixed] - comments area form inputs are too big
- [fixed] - Lightweight theme is glitchy because of fixes to make widgets work
- [fixed] - gallery pic pages “post titles” are broken
- [fixed] - edit button is illegible on certain themes
- [added] - add ability to leave comments on “pages”
- [added] - some javascript to force sidebar to always be full size of page content
- [working] - minor graphic tweaks
- [would like] -
- ability to click on post title and go to full post

Hey man!
I just have to ask you, how do you make the buttons on the bottom of the theme?
I made a gallery and i really want a button for it down there.

Ollies,
The buttons at the bottom (in the current version), are generated by WordPress from the “Pages” you have on your blog. So, if you have a page called “About Me”, it will show up at the bottom.
(A future release will also allow you to show the categories at the bottom instead of just the pages.)

I found that if you have a page marked no comments. the leave a comment screen wil still show up and let a comment be posted.

Robert,
If you are not logged in, you get the Login button (the lock) and a button at the top to register an account.
If you are logged in, you get the Logout button (the red circly thing), but not register a button.
If you are already logged in, you are already registered, so you don’t need a register button… or am I completely misunderstanding you?

All I see on the screen is a register buttom no login. I am still using a wiget for the login.

Hi Thanks for your beautiful work on this theme.
I have a question. I have read the Readme file and I have spent hours trying to change or understand how to change the top line of the blog, where it says :
Woodlark Group
Discussion Forum for LL Vounteers and Staff
I tried changing text color and size in the “Custom Image Header” page and every other edit page, but I can’t seem to find a place to change it. Also can I replace clipboard image somewhere?
Also if we get more more “pages” on the blog will the ” Windows taskbar” at the bottom accommodate that?
Thank you for all the time and effort you must have put into this project. It is great!

Ollies,
If you are talking about the one in the upper right corner, go into your Admin page, and then go into Design and you will see an option called Custom Image Header.
If you are talking about the one on the “Options Menu”, that changes depending on the Gravatar of the person logged into the blog at that particular time.

Brian, somehow I missed your comment in moderation and it got ignored. I will reply to you in email.
