If this is the first time you have seen my ‘blog/site, welcome!
If you wish to post a comment or bug, please feel free to do so. If you just want to report an issue of some sort, please use my contact page instead. It’s the fastest way for me to receive your bug report, because your report won’t get tangled up in my draconian comment approval policy.
I have been getting quite a few notes and comments about the theme, mostly positive, a couple with some bugs. Since I have an old-fashioned day job and work 9-6 every day, I don’t have a lot of time to reply during the day, but rest assured I do see all your comments floating around waiting to be approved and I will get to all of them. I promise.
If you report bugs or whatever, I will also get to those and fix them…
… in that order.
I will also be making a few minor tweaks over the next few weeks as I find glitches, but I probably won’t be making any major changes, unless some critical issue shows up. Upcoming features and changes will be noted on the downloads page.

I tried your theme on my site because I was stunned by the look and the features.
Unfortunately, I had to remove the theme because it didn’t work very well in IE and most of my users are (for reasons unknown) on IE.
Then, strangely enough, I had to actually delete the directory in order to use any other theme. I don’t know what was up with that, but there you go.
Keep at it, this is an incredible theme.

Hi, I have tested your theme and found it to be one of the best (at least for me) I have seen floating around on the net.
However, I do have a question regarding your theme or at least of now.
Question 1) If I want to add in, like say a music player or a shoutbox, on how should I add in the sidebar without compromising the other functions of the sidebar as well.

Raven G,
Can you give me an example of the kind of media player or shoutbox you are using, so I can test it and see how/why it breaks? That way I can fix it!

Hi inanis,
The shoutbox I am using is cjtagboardv3. I am still fixing it as we speak.
Many thanks for responding so quickly.

This theme is, by far, the best one I have used. It is very sleek and professional looking. I have had no technical problems at all, and it works fine in IE for me. It looks fabulous! Thanks!

Raven G,
I believe that shoutbox is a custom hack, not a WordPress Widget. Am I correct? If so, gimme some more information about how you are integrating it into WordPress.

Oh, and thanks to everyone for the “moral” support. I never really intended this theme to be so popular, but I’m glad you all like it. Stay tuned for a bug-fix release!

I must say, It looks amazing. But how can I Add the little linky things on the bottom like you have, like about me, music, etc…
10:09 pm - November 11th, 2008
If you are talking about the cool hovering things, that will be available in the next release. I’m just waiting on the folks at WordPress to approve it. Should be in the next day or two. Keep an eye open for it.

nice theme. can you make this theme has three columns
10:36 am - November 15th, 2008
Endy,
Thanks for the kudos. Now, I have the ability to make the theme 3 columns, however, I don’t think I am going to. I just don’t have the time to do that, and I would like to wrap up the work on this theme and move on to other projects.

I enjoy the Inanis Glass theme very much and have adopted it for my website/blog. It works really well and my website has never looked as good.

Hi just wanted to say it’s a great loking theme, and really looks the part, however i have just one majour beef really in that it just seems to load everything really slow, ofcourse this could be the server i’m hosting on, but no other sites on my patch have problems with speed.
I’m going to stick with it, and try wpsupercache or something like that, but i know your not going to develop this for much longer so, would it be possible to let us know a way to speed it up.. or what might be causing it..
ofcourse take a look at my site and you will see what i’m talking about.
it just seems alittle slow, and another user also reported that when posting it was so slow he was 3 words ahead of the text on the screen.
something worth looking into i think.
help anyway i can.

Paul,
Thanks for the suggestions regarding the size of the theme. I do understand that it does take a while to load. There are three reasons it’s slow to load: 1) The images float towards the side of quality instead of size, 2) there are alot of images, so there are lots of HTTP requests, and 3) I’m not really that good at optimizing for slow-ish connections.
The problem is with all the cool glass gradients and the alpha translucency, really. You can’t JPEG em because of the artifacts, and JPEG doesn’t do translucency. You can’t really decrease the bit depth of the graphics below 24-bit either because the dithering looks crummy. I will keep your suggestion in mind and see what I can do, but I have compressed it about as much as I see can be done.
