Inanis + Droid = SCREE

I got a Motorola DROID phone to replace the old Motorola Q9c I had.

If the iPhone is the Jesus Phone, then this thing is the God Phone. It is simply phenomenal.

I won’t go into detail of the phone itself here, because world+dog has already done that, but I will say this: The phone is easier to use with Microsoft Exchange features than my previous Microsoft Windows Mobile phone.

I’ll give you a minute to let that sink in.

Yeah. I said it. You read it. Wanna fight about it?

  1. Thanks for the world best theme bro.
    A god phone… wow… I was thinking getting iphone and this comes out… :)
will it wins the iphone? iphone seems have a lot of application that’s useful.

    • Yup, Iphone has many features and apps, some that -are- better than the Droid. The one thing it doesn’t have is satisfactory network coverage where I live, nor does it work on my company’s wireless plan.

      Droid is is!

  2. I’m glad the Droid works well for you. I’m a tad skewed in favor of the iPhone, but that’s ok. I have a 95%+ Apple network at work as well as having an Apple Server at home, so the iPhone is totally perfect for me. Both my office and my home are in cellular black holes, so none work well for me as far as that goes. I have yet to find anything on the iPhone that I cannot do and want to be able to. I can even remote desktop into my servers and even my Windows boxes from my phone (it sucks because of screen resolution, but it can be done). I can remotely connect to my SQL servers and admin the databases. I can get a command prompt from my servers on the phone. I can even control my iTunes library playing on the computer from the phone.

Honest question here: Can the Droid make a VPN connection? I VPN from my iPhone into both work and home, and have had people ask me if the Droid will be able to. I’m too lazy to actually research it, so I figure I’ll ask you. If so, does it work well?

The main thing I can say is that at least it’s not a flippin Pre! :)

    • Yeah, the iPhone has a much larger app library – but it’s been around longer. My wish – for it to be available on Verizon!

I was playing around with my Droid, and it does have a VPN option built into the OS. I haven’t tried it as I don’t have a need for that at the moment.

Yeah, Palm (or whatever their name is now) just doesn’t seem to get smart phones anymore.

  3. Thanks for the theme, fits perfectly for what I wanted to do. Wanted to let you know about WPTOGO in android market. If you haven’t already found it, it allows you to post to your blog using your android phone. I’m using it on an HTC Hero, works well and supports image uploads from the phone.

Good for short posts, but a little slow typing longer posts unless you’ve mastered the on-screen keyboard, which I have not.
