If i had to weather a guess, It probably didn't upload correctly because the archive is in 7zip format, not zip format. Big difference there. For the beta releases, you have to manually upload the theme via FTP instead of using the built in upload function. (I did it that way on purpose. Not really, but 7zip does make smaller files. Yeah, that was the motivation).

Interesting. I see your point, but I'm not sure this adds value to casual readers of i7 powered blogs. It also adds functionality that isn't included by default in the user interface from which it's inspired. I'll have to think about this some more.

Think of it like how the Windows desktop is utilized. It can be used for things like temporary storage, to long term storage, especially through the use of organizational tools such as Stardock Fences or Berokyo. So perhaps in this case, instead of the preview button just showing the background graphic on mouseover it could also go to a page with a click that has a specially designed filing plugin that could look similar to either of the aforementioned Windows programs. And the background graphic would show the plugin as how it would look on the page. Thus the preview button would work exactly like how it functions in Windows 7.

Easy. Log into the wordpress admin. Click on Appearance, then i7 Theme Options. Under Time Display, select 24-hour. This will change the time to 24 hour format, and the date to dd/mm/yyyy.

@Adam - what do you mean by "Interactive Desktop"? What functionality would this bring to WordPress?

Hi Inanis,

Is it possible to have a setting to change the date format to dd/mm/yyyy

or how would I go about manually doing this?

I figured as much, thanks for the help though.
Have you thought of adding an interactive desktop for the background of your theme? I think many would definitely pay for that. Perhaps that could be something like a static front page?
