Music to Which I Listen

Take a look at my Music Tracklist, to see the songs I have. Beware, the file is upwards of 350Kb.

Musical Opinion

My musical tastes have mostly been because of influences in my early life. My taste for ’80’s pop was because I grew up in those years, my like of some dance music was influenced by my older sister, and finally my total passion for classic and mainstream rock was influenced by some good dear friends of mine. I do not like country, and I hate 99% of Rap/RB. I mostly just listen to music, but I have written a few tunes. Listen below, or watch me opine on the blog.

Musical Creations

Nintendo Revengo

Nintendo Revengo is a little side project created by me and some guys I know. We took the original theme to Super Mario Brothers, played around with it, and created Leaded Mario Brothers. We submitted this song to ocremix.org twice, and both times were rejected. See what I have to say about it.

Contributors to Nintendo Revengo:

  • Inanis – Idea Man/Percussion
  • Dorian Wills – Lead Guitar/Bass Guitar
  • Jim and Tim – Various Input

Tracks:

Other Stuff

  • Due to a lack of time, access to real instruments, and more than just basic knowledge in music, the items below are not as well produced as Leaded Mario Brothers.
  • Square Mario Final | 1.73 MP3 file | I took the original Super Mario Brothers square and triangle channels, then processed the hell out of ‘em.
  • Untitled Rock Song 1 Alpha | 4.91MB MP3 file | A work in progress. May never be finished, at this point.
  • Dr. Mario – Fever Final | 3.82MB MP3 file | Originally submitted to ocremix.org; they are stupid.
  • Mega Man 3 – Magnet Man Final | 4.57MB MP3 file | Originally submitted to ocremix.org; they are stupid.

Collected Works

  • Completed in 1999, my Collected Works is a hodgepodge of MIDI-generated music from my school years. Some was totally original, others are influenced by friends and events, and a couple were writen by request. Most of it is repetitive stuff, but there are a couple of songs with promise. I might rewrite some of these, someday. The audio quality of these is poor. I no longer have the source material (lost in data backup mistake), and these have been downsampled a couple times.

Nice track list. good to see a bit of ACDC.

AC/DC totally rocks. New album? Totally rocks.

If you want to check out the real talent behind Leaded Mario Bros., check out Dorian Wills. He’s now in a local band called Offcell.

  3. Just looked through your tracklist. Some very good stuff in there.

We have some significant areas of overlap in our musical tastes so, since I failed to notice one of my favorites in your list, permit to recommend:

Pain of Salvation, particularly “Remedy Lane” and “The Perfect Element I”

Hey, thanks Scott. I’ll keep those in mind.

    Nice Program and music list.
