Inanis Seven Update – v0.9.3.0

So, we’re up to 0.9.3.0 now. I’ve looked into all the suggestions from the previous post, determined feasibility, implemented those that were feasible and useful, and garnered opinion on others. The coolest new feature is custom System Tray icons – a slick idea thrown out by Fabiano Shark, and proper kudos go to the Shark. Anyways, a quick list of what has been done is available, after the jump.

Give me your thoughts and comments on what’s been done, and keep dropping me suggestions – they only make the theme better!

And here another theme update. The US Memorial Holiday gave me a chance to do a couple of things. One was complete some massive updates to Inanis Seven, and the other was to remember those who have risked and given their lives to keep my people free. Don’t worry, no jingoism here, just simple respect. Everyone, no matter the nationality or political position, should take a moment sometime during the year to remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for whatever cause they were fighting. Well, unless they were Nazis… and actually signed up because they wanted to exterminate an entire race… stupid Nazis.

Anywho, back to lighter things. More »

Server Conversion Success

Inanis.net is now running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 64-bit. I was able to move the database and file base over from the old install to the new install easily. For some reason, last time I tried it the --all-databases tag didn’t work and didn’t dump properly. Blah.

Just a few more things to finish and all will be supah cool.

The. Coolest. Thing. Ever.

Well, maybe not ever. But it’s still pretty neat-o.
