Hyperion

An agile and capable fighter, the Hyperion is the current space superiority vessel of the Space Police force, taking that role from it's predecessor, Rebel Hunter. Designed with fully aerodynamic lifting capability and a unique wind-turbine thrust system, the Hyperion is deadly not only in space, but also in the air. Coupled with it's high top speed and overpowering weapons systems, the Hyperion maintains the Space Police space superiority in all fighter-to-fighter and fighter-to-target situations.

Other Notes

  • The Hyperion class fighter was designed to replace the Rebel Hunter as the new staple of the Space Police fighting force. The Rebel Hunter has been reissued for domestic peace keeping activities, while the Hyperion has taken up the great role of protecting the <<Federation>>.
This vessel was designed with atmospheric engagement in mind. It is extremely aerodynamic, and can stay aloft without the use of anti-grav systems. It has a wind turbine propulsion system for atmospheric conditions, to negate the use of less efficient and less maneuverable conventional thrust systems. It also has an extremely low drag coefficient of 0.045. These features make it optimal for use in sub-orbital planetary patrol or assault.
