The Master Catalog Numbering System [MCNS] is a list of Master Catalog Numbers [MCN], each which represent the design of a Collection Of Systems used in the Space Police arsenal.

Effectively, the MCNS is a master list of model numbers for vessels, installations and other heavy machinery.

Numbering Conventions

Each MCN consists of three parts, which are defined in the following manner:

MMMM[M]
Model Number

T[T]
Type Suffix

-SSSSSSSS
Serial Number

  • Model Number: A unique four or five digit number that represents this specific model.
  • Type Suffix: A one or two letter suffix that defines the primary function or purpose of this specific model.
  • Serial Number: An eight digit hexadecimal code representing the unique identifier for any individual Collection Of Systems represented by the entire MCN.

Number Usage

When referencing a design class as a whole, the Serial Number is omitted, otherwise it is included when discussing a specific machine.
