Reflexar
From SPID
Reflexar is a resilient carbon-nanotube/aluminum alloy that absorbs photonic energy along it's matrix when impacted by it, and slowly bleeds it off into space. It is quite hard and can also withstand matter impact of significant velocity without significant matrix damage.
Information
Reflexar is used by Space Police vessels as the standard armor protection technology. It is quite strong, being able to take direct impact in the same area several times without significant damage to the underlying spaceframe.
Reflexar has been followed by it's cousin, Ultraflexar. Unlike, Ultraflexar, Reflexar does not have it's molecules quantum-fixated, so it is only able to absorb energy, whereas Ultraflexar actually reflects it.
Since Reflexar is a simple carbon-nanotube/aluminum alloy matrix, it can very easily be electroplated to spacecraft aluminum, making it the best choice for mass produced fighters and vessels.
