Ultraflexar is a highly resilient quantum-fixated carbon-nanotube/aluminum alloy that disperses photonic energy outward into space when impacted by it. It is extremely hard and can also withstand matter impact of great velocity without significant matrix damage.

Information

Ultraflexar is used by Space Police vessels as the premiere armor protection technology. It is very tough, being able to take direct impact in the same area repeatedly without damage to the underlying spaceframe.

Ultraflexar is chemically very similar to it's predecessor, Reflexar. However, Reflexar does not have it's molecules quantum-fixated, so it is only able to absorb energy, whereas Ultraflexar actually reflects it.

Due to the complexity of the molecular matrix and time consuming electroplating process, only ships of the highest importance receive Ultraflexar armor coating.

Trivia

The hull Galactic Peace Keeper Alpha is almost entirely composed of Ultraflexar.
